Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA) - This is an Army only program.
Credentialing Assistance (CA) - This program can pay up to $2,000 per fiscal year toward training costs, fees, books, supplies, exams, etc.

State Tuition Assistance (STA)
The State Tuition Assistance program provides up to $7,000 in tuition assistance for ALL accredited post-secondary schools. It is not limited to schools located in Utah.

State Tuition Waiver (STW)
The State Tuition Waiver (scholarship) is for full-time students (12-18 credit hours) attending a state of Utah public college or university.

Student School Loan Repayment (SSLR)
The Student School Loan Repayment (SSLR) has a limited number of funds to provide up to $7,000 in reimbursement for student loans. Service members must have a diploma from an accredited post-secondary school to be eligible.

Important Deadlines
For the Spring Semester
Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA) 8 days prior to course start
State Tuition Assistance (STA) 8 days prior to the course start date
- State Tuition Waiver (STW)
- 1st selection application open January 1 - April 30
- 2nd selection application due before applying for FTA or STA if member is attending full-time (12-18 credits) at a State Public College/University
- State Tuition Waiver (STW)
- CA must be paid prior to the course start date.
- To ensure payment occurs, submit paperwork at least a wekk prior to the actual start date

GI Bill Program Information
**Below are the most common education assistance programs for Guard members. For other programs contact our office or the VA directly.
Basic education benefit for traditional M-day Servicemembers
To Qualify- Have a six-year enlistment contract, extension, or Officer Service Agreement.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Complete initial Active Duty for Training (IADT) or Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC).
- $466 per month for full-time enrolment (FY24)
- Payment is tax free and is made directly to the Soldier each month from the DVA
- CAN be combined with Federal Tuition Assistance and all State education program benefits.
Kicker - Depending on your category and date of contract, either $200 or $350 per month added to your basic GI Bill payment.

Our testing center is open Monday-Thursday offers a variety of tests: DLPT, DLAB, OPI, AFCT, SIFT and Pearson VUE tests.
- Morning session: 8:00-11:00
- Afternoon Session: 12:30-3:30
SIFT, AFCT and Pearson Vue tests are offered the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month.
