    Scholarships and Professional Development

We are committed to investing in our members’ futures by supporting their educational and professional growth. By empowering the next generation of leaders—and their families—we ensure that our legacy endures well beyond our time in service.

Every member, as well as prospective members, should be fully informed about the educational benefits available to support continued learning in civilian settings. At the same time, we must actively promote opportunities for professional development through both civilian and military avenues. These include scholarships, training programs, conferences, podcasts, and schools that strengthen the knowledge, leadership, and professionalism of our community.

    Requirements to Apply

    1. EANGUT Member or Sponsor
    2. Transcripts (HS, College, etc.)
    3. Financial need
    4. Essay stating specific reasons for your desire to pursue education, including financial assistance
    5. On-line application (with supporting documentation uploaded)

Please Note: Awardees will attend the EANGUT State conference to receive their scholarship. The ‘Giant Check’ will be presented for a picture with the Executive Committee and applicable sponsors when available. If the awardee cannot attend the EANGUT conference, they will send a representative in their place.
*Exceptions will be considered by the scholarship committee

Scholarship checks must be sent to the College or University within three semesters of being awarded (e.g., Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall). An exception may be granted for extenuating circumstances (e.g., deployment or extended illness) if you have questions, email [email protected].

    Legislative Efforts

Legislative efforts continue at both the local and national levels.
Our country—and our organization—were built by ordinary citizens and grassroots initiatives. That legacy continues today, as our members have the power to shape legislation that affects their careers and retirement benefits.

Proposed changes are introduced through a formal resolution process, which seeks to update local or federal laws in ways that benefit our members. This process depends heavily on the work of our committees.

To be effective, our committees must stay closely connected with members to understand their concerns and priorities. Committee chairs will actively seek input by encouraging participation from all enlisted members, as well as at least one member of the Executive Council. Meeting agendas will be published well in advance to allow time for review and planning.

All members are welcome to participate in committee meetings—either by phone or in person—ensuring every voice has the opportunity to be heard.

        Membership

Our members have always been—and will always remain—our top priority.
Without our members, this organization would have no purpose. We do not exist to collect dues; we exist to drive meaningful change, and it is the strength of our membership that gives us the influence to do so.

New members are vital to our continued growth. Today’s Airmen and Soldiers represent the future of this organization, and their voices and engagement are essential in shaping what lies ahead.

At the same time, our retirees are the foundation upon which this organization was built. Their experience, wisdom, and dedication form the bedrock of our stability. We cannot afford to lose sight of why we were founded—or forget the lessons learned—by ignoring those who came before us. Failing to engage them risks repeating the past without its hard-earned insights.

To grow stronger and wiser, we must bridge the gap between generations. New enlistees bring fresh energy and perspective, while retirees offer invaluable knowledge and guidance. Reconnecting these groups not only strengthens our camaraderie, but also ensures a resilient and united organization built for the future.
